Location:

Orange Blossom House is located in Beacon Hill on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It is on both the 136 and 169 bus routes.

Beacon Hill:

Beacon Hill is located 19kms north of the city of Sydney within the Northern Beaches Area. It offers direct transport links to the city as well as some great surf beaches, waterways and National Parks. The highest point is Governor Phillip Lookout which has a view of the city skyline. Within walking distance lies a Bakery, Chemist, Newsagent, Pub, Bottleshop, a Sundays Farmers Market and a variety of takeaway shops. The closest beach is Dee Why Beach. It is less than 5 kms away, is patrolled for swimming and boasts a rock pool, children’s play area and various ice-cream and alfresco dining options. Go for a run in the bush opposite, sit on your own private verandah, cook yourself a barbeque in the backyard or purchase a massage without leaving the premises.

The Sydney Northern Beaches area lies north of the city and boasts 18kms of open coastline from Manly (a short ferry ride across the harbour to Sydney’s CBD) to Palm Beach (made famous by the TV show ‘Home and Away’). The area is also referred to as the Peninsula with the Pacific Ocean on one side and Pittwater on the other. Great seaside dining, surf beaches, waterways and National Parks with rainforest areas, waterfalls and Aboriginal rock art await you. Learn to surf, charter a yacht, explore secluded bays, enjoy a coastal walk, explore shopping boutiques, sit in a waterfront beer garden, enjoy a round of golf, or visit the Bahai Temple. There is so much to see and do.

From the City to Beacon Hill

Public Transport - 169 / E69 and 136 bus stops are within a 5 minute walk of Orange Blossom House and are identified on our map. A 169 / E69 bus travels to the Sydney CBD, The Spit, Manly, Warringah Mall and Dee Why. A 136 bus travels to Manly, Harbord (now named Freshwater), Curl Curl, Dee Why and Chatswood.  If you wish to catch a bus from the city to us, go to Stand E on Carrington Street, Wynyard. Between 7am and 7pm, buses from Wynyard are prepaid only so you must buy your single ticket, travelten or travelpass from a ticket outlet prior to boarding. Look out for the purple PrePay flag or sign on display at locations selling prepaid bus tickets. There is one on Carrington Street opposite the bus stops. For bus timetables visit www.131500.com.
